This website uses the smallest number of cookies it can function with. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. As an ordinary visitor you are not given a cookie at all, and nothing kept in your browser identifies you.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. Cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you explicitly requested do not require consent. In Romania that rule is set by article 4 paragraph (5) of Legea nr. 506/2004 privind prelucrarea datelor cu caracter personal și protecția vieții private în sectorul comunicațiilor electronice, which transposes article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. Every cookie used here falls into that category.
2. Every cookie this site can set
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime | Set for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
bls.sid |
Keeps the administrator signed in to the administration area and carries the anti-forgery token. | Strictly necessary | 7 days, renewed on activity | The site administrator only |
As an ordinary visitor you receive no cookies at all. The cookie above is issued when somebody signs in at the administration address, which is not part of the public website. Browsing the home page, the catalogue, a system page or these legal pages sends nothing to the server that could identify you, and leaves behind only the browser entries listed below.
It is marked HttpOnly (unreadable by scripts), SameSite=Lax (not sent from other sites) and,
in production, Secure (sent only over an encrypted connection). It contains a random identifier and
nothing else.
What is kept in your own browser
Browser storage is not a cookie: it stays in your browser, is never sent back to the server with your requests, and disappears when you clear your browsing data. This site writes three entries, and nothing in any of them describes you.
bls-theme, the wordlightordark, written when you use the theme button.bls-cookie-note, the wordok, written when you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the page so it does not appear again.-
bls-viewed, the names of the systems whose pages you have already opened in this browser tab, written in session storage, which the browser deletes the moment the tab is closed. Its only purpose is described below.
The view counter
Each system page shows how many times it has been opened. That is a single number stored against the system, not against anybody who looked at it: the server records that a system was opened once more, and never which visitor did it. No account, no identifier, no address and no browser fingerprint is created, kept or consulted at any point.
bls-viewed exists to make that number smaller and more truthful. Without it, refreshing a page
ten times would count ten views. The list lets your browser recognise that it has already counted a page in this tab
and stay silent the second time. The list is read and written by your browser alone, it is never transmitted, and it
contains only the names of systems, which are the addresses you already visited.
Why there is no accept or reject choice
Consent under Legea nr. 506/2004 is required for storage that is not strictly necessary, such as analytics, advertising or profiling. This site runs none of those. There is no analytics service installed, nothing measures you, and nothing that is stored can be traced back to a person, joined to anything else or shared with anybody.
The three entries listed above are the whole of it: two remember a choice you made by clicking, and the third exists only so that a public counter does not count the same tab twice. All three are written by your browser, kept in your browser, and lost when you clear it. Refusing them would leave you with a site that forgets your theme, repeats a notice you already dismissed, and counts your refreshes as separate visitors, which is why the notice at the bottom of the page is an acknowledgement rather than a consent gate.
3. What is not used
- No analytics cookies, no visitor statistics service is installed.
- No advertising, remarketing or conversion cookies.
- No social network cookies or share buttons.
- No fingerprinting or pixel beacons.
- No third-party fonts, icon sets or scripts, every asset is served from this domain, so no other server learns that you visited.
4. Video embeds
Some product pages offer a demonstration video. The player is not loaded until you click it: until that moment, nothing is requested from the video platform and no cookie of theirs can be set. When you click, the player is loaded from the platform's no-cookie domain, at which point that platform's own privacy and cookie policies apply to the connection you have chosen to open. If you never click, no such connection is ever made.
5. How to control cookies
Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies from its settings, usually under "Privacy". Blocking the cookie named above prevents signing in to the administration area, because the anti-forgery protection depends on it. The public website is unaffected: it sets no cookies. The same settings clear the browser entries listed in section 2, and the site carries on working without them: it simply forgets your theme and stops recognising a page it has already counted.
